What is AEO / GEO?

Answer Engine Optimization / Generative Engine Optimization covers how your content and brand can be discovered, understood and represented by AI-search systems. It involves website foundations, content strategy, entity and authority signals, and off-site presence. Our scanner verifies only technical page fundamentals; it does not measure mentions or citations.

What does a free scan return?

Grades for each check group, plus a fix for every failed check at levels L0–L3: access, rendering, structure and answer shape. L4–L5 are rulebook guidance your agent applies; the sources and the full per-check report require Pro.

Do I need a developer?

Not for the free scan or generators — use them in a browser. Pro adds detailed findings, source-cited guidance and draft lint you can use with your own agent or developer. A separate Audit can be scoped by email.

What are the levels?

L0 access, L1 rendering, L2 structure and L3 answer shape are shipped deterministic checks. L4–L5 are rulebook guidance your agent applies, not automated checks or scores. Research is reviewed regularly; rule changes are published when the evidence warrants them.

What happens when I go Pro?

Pro adds detailed findings, draft lint and maintained, source-cited guidance for content strategy, brand and entity consistency, authority and off-site presence. Your agent assesses applicability; these are recommendations, not visibility measurements. After successful checkout, your key and setup instructions are emailed; manage or cancel your subscription through your account or PayPal.

Can't we build this with Claude in an afternoon?

You can build an AEO checklist or an MCP wrapper with an AI coding tool. What aeogeo maintains is the research underneath: tracking changes, reconciling conflicting findings, recording evidence and confidence, and shipping versioned rules your agent can query. The scanner applies part of that knowledge to a page. Compare a recent rule change in the changelog with what your agent would recommend today.

My pages already score A. Do I need this?

Maybe not. A means the applicable automated checks passed for the page you scanned. It does not measure how often AI answers mention you, whether the advice fits your context, or whether the research has changed since you last looked. If you already cover those, Free may be all you need.

Will this make ChatGPT recommend my brand?

The aeogeo scanner and Pro do not track or guarantee mentions in AI answers. They help you find technical and research-backed improvements; measure brand visibility and conversions separately, with your own analytics and referral data.

What is an MCP URL?

Model Context Protocol. Paste https://mcp.aeogeo.site into Cursor, Claude, or any MCP-capable agent for the same checks inside your workflow. Scans and hook snippets work without a key; draft lint and full rules need a Pro key (send it as a Bearer header, or add https://mcp.aeogeo.site/mcp to a client that signs you in).
